3rd Degree Reiki

Also known as “Reiki Master Practitioner”. The first 3 symbols focus on physical, emotional, and mental facets of life. This 4th symbol focuses on the spiritual side of life.  This symbol increases the strength of your Reiki energy, as well as the effectiveness of the other symbols.

Reiki meditations, advanced techniques in the use of crystals, psychic surgery that allows for removal of energies that are not serving, connecting to guides; how and why, are a few of the topics discussed and reviewed. A deep review of all the symbols, expanded information on their meanings, and uses beyond healing are covered, and practiced.

We recommend having had your 2nd degree for at least 6 months in order to allow for the personal development, and deepening of your understanding that results from applying the 2nd degree material. Not yet a student of Laura Magpali & Paul Nelson?  Certificates of 1st and 2nd degrees required.

Reiki Master Teacher

This level is taught one to one, apprentice style. How long it takes depends on the student's level of proficiency, preparation, confidence, and their personal goals in becoming a teacher of Reiki, generally 6 months to a year.

Our chief concern is that the prospective Master Teacher have an avid desire to teach; the Master Teacher training prepares the student to take on the instructor role.

We begin with the student's demonstration of previous materials proficiency. Any gaps in the material are noted and 'filled in' during the course of training. The student attends several classes with the view in mind to what it will be like when they are teaching. They practice teaching various topics, and create their own teaching manual as part of their training.

We offer the opportunity for the prospective teacher to practice presenting the materials as often as they want to, and to attend as many of our classes (free of charge) as they wish, in order to become confident teachers. Students are aided in starting their first class(es).

The Master Teacher training has 5 basic parts, for each of which I ask $150.00, payable as you go.

1.) Strengths & weaknesses assessment, with the ultimate aim at shoring up those that are lacking, as needed. This happens in our initial time together; we'll meet & talk & explore, so I can better understand where you are, where you want to go, what I perceive is needed, and how I can best support your process.

This will include subsequent instructional support brought about initially by discussion, and by trading sessions. I recommend a trade happening with some consistency and continue for 3 - 4 months or so, wherein the focus is Reiki, though not necessarily restricted to it. For example, if you are a bodyworker, it would be appropriate to support you in blending whatever your other modalities are, with Reiki. I can offer perceptive feedback to make your work even more effective.

2.) Participation in the classes from a prospective teacher's view, as compared to that of the student, will contribute a good deal to speed your readiness. You'll be taking notes from the viewpoint of things like, what order do the topics go in?, how long does it take to do an attunement? How much time does it take to explain the history, what practice techniques do I want to offer, table drills, etc. How long do they take to do? etc.

We have several Master Teachers who have continued attending different classes even after they were certified to teach, not realizing how much more complex it was to make a class be really complete. There's a certain choreography to it, you could say, that can make it flow more smoothly. It's not enough to know the topic for yourself; you have to be able to deliver the information with an eye in mind to how people learn. We want to help you be as successful as possible!

As you feel ready, you will assist in teaching various topics in the classes. This will give you practice seeing how long it takes to cover a topic. It'll give you practice interacting with the students, and we'll be there to fill in whatever we may feel needs to be added.

3.) You will have made a manual. I'll encourage you to make use of as many Reiki books and articles as you wish. Some articles are in the Reiki magazines. There are Reiki books written from numersous angles. The process of putting on paper what you will be teaching will be very beneficial, add invaluable confidence to you. It might not be your last version of it, but it will be your energetic declaration.


4.) I will teach you about the Master Attunement symbol(s), and how to pass them. You will develop your personal ceremonial ritual, based on the principles within the elements of the Reiki attunement, and you will practice passing attunements.

5.) I will help you with your first class(es) - how that looks will depend on you and your needs at that time. It may be that I help you identify marketing venues, (no additional charge) it may be that I come to your first class(es) as a back-up support, enabling you to do the parts you're strongest in, and I can handle the miscellaneous details, like helping with time management, snacks, etc. Additional cost for me to be there will depend upon how much help/time is needed from me.

My goal is to get you to the place where you are strong and confident, equipped and have at least one class within a very short time after you have completed everything else. Part of my goal is to get your financial investment realized quickly.  It is entirely possible to see that happen with one or two classes under your belt. I want to help you have that happen, if that is your goal when we get to that time.

How long the process takes depends upon our mutual schedules.  I'd say most people take between 6 - 12 months to complete their Master Teacher training. You pay as you go. After you've paid the $150 for the class review, you can take as many Usui Reiki classes as you want, at no additional charge, ever.
